Bio

Lakshmi has a B.Sc. in biology (UNAM), two M.Sc. in environmental planning and management (UAX; IHE-Delft), and a Ph.D. in Sustainability Sciences (UNAM). For the past 15 years she has been involved in educational and capacity strengthening projects of wetland management, water governance, and transdisciplinarity. She co-coordinated the design of the Graduate Program in Sustainability Sciences at UNAM, and was part of the Transformative pathways to sustainability: learning across disciplines, contexts and cultures (PATHWAYS Network) where she co-coordinated the North America Hub. She currently works at the National Laboratory for Sustainability Sciences, hosted at Institue of Ecology-UNAM in research projects related to collaborative processes of co-production and the articulation of methodological approaches aimed at enabling an increased sense of agency for transfomative change towards sustainability in Mexico.
