Bio

Lakshmi has a B.Sc. in biology (UNAM), two M.Sc. in environmental planning and management (UAX; IHE-Delft), and a Ph.D. in Sustainability Sciences (UNAM). For the past twelve years she has been involved in educational and capacity building projects related to wetland management, water governance, and transdisciplinarity. She co-coordinated the design of the Graduate Program in Sustainability Sciences at UNAM, and is currently working at the National Laboratory for Sustainability Sciences (LANCIS-IE-UNAM) in research projects related to stakeholders' engagement, co-production and transformations to sustainability in Mexico. She is part of the Transformative pathways to sustainability: learning across disciplines, contexts and cultures (PATHWAYS Network), where she co-coordinated the North America Hub (one of the six hubs that conform the Pathways to Sustainability Global Consortium).
